Day 7 of 30

It was a high of 95 today! What?! Logan and I went for our morning walk to check out the school buses and kids; by the time we got home he had fallen asleep! I think it was the warm temp and the fact our new wake up call is 5:30am.
When Keith came home we decided to go to the pool in Lake Bluff, a town next to ours, we had to pay a fee but it was worth it! So, that means today marks our 1st family trip to the pool! Many more pool days in our future.

We were in the pool for almost half an hour! There was lots of action going on to watch!

And yes, Logan carried that yellow cup the entire time. If I haven't mentioned yet, he loves the cup and carries it from dawn till dusk! If it's not the cup it's something, he is very into carrying things right now.
Here's to more family summer days!

Day 6 of 30

I decided tonight instead of folding laundry as my "alone" time, I would paint my toes! I know, am I wild or what! I have to admit the last time I painted my own nails was probably almost 2 years ago. I use to always have my nail painted but these days not so much. With the weather warming up I thought I would go back to the "old" days and add some color to my feet. Actually, as I type this I realize that this might be my only chance to do so, my belly might be too big soon! Then, I'll just have to go for a pedicure. ;)

I picked a color other than my usual red or pink. Something a little different...

Here's to a few minutes to myself.

Oh, and few pictures of my sweetheart.

Day 4 of 30

Today was another 1st for Logan. He decided to feed himself using a spoon! He has been under the weather with not much of an appetite and only eating soft foods. I had some baby cereal in the pantry that I gave him. He didn't want me to feed him so I handed him the spoon and he did it himself! Of course it turned into a mess, but that doesn't bother me.

We had another beautiful evening, it feels like summer. I never thought summer would come! All the kids were out in the neighborhood running around, playing in the water and the smell of lilac was in the air. Such a nice evening with my boys.

Day 3 of 30

Today, June 3rd,we had amazing weather high 60's and sunny. Logan and I took 3 walks!

Here is a glimpse into our breakfast time. The yellow cup is his new favorite thing to carry around, it goes everywhere with him.

I love waking up with him!

Day 2 of 30

I'm only on Day 2 and thinking of something to write everyday is hard; now I understand why they call it a challenge!
Today I thought I would dedicate some time to Peanut. I am 26 weeks and he is a mover! All day he is moving, kicking and pushing his way around. When Logan is sitting on my lap and talking, Peanut starts kicking. I know it's just probably just a coincidence but I like to think he just loves to hear his brother's voice. So, only 14 weeks or less until we meet the little guy. Of course it feels like this pregnancy has gone by quicker because we have Logan to take care of, but it seems surreal that in such a short time we will be a family of 4.

This is a picture taken tonight in my PJs *no judgment*

And how can I not share a few pictures of our little boy!

Logan has learned how to throw a a ball, we play in the kitchen for hours bouncing it back and forth and laughing!
To close, I will post a picture of our beautiful boy!

Day 1 of 30

My good friend Krista shared that she was going to challenge herself to write a blog everyday this month. So, I thought I would do the same, a blog a day for the next 30 days. I figure it is a good time to give it a try.

Day 1 of 30: 01June2011

Uncle Steven gave Logan a silly Elmo toy for his birthday. At first he was a little scared of it, when you tip his head back he talks. He would laugh when someone else was playing with Elmo but he didn't want to touch it himself. BUT... yesterday he decided Elmo wasn't so bad! He picked him up and started carrying Elmo around. He cracks up when Elmo talks which makes Keith and I start laughing too.

 * If you look close you can see a front tooth that has just broken through!

Peanut update: I am 26 weeks and he moves around all day. Tonight I felt hiccups for the first time!!
