Nostalgic

As Logan's first birthday approaches I am feeling nostalgic. I waited for Logan for many years, wondering lots of times if we would ever have children. Now we have a beautiful baby boy who is going to be one in a few weeks and another boy on the way.
It's astonishing how life changes. Logan is amazing; he makes me feel complete.

Goodbye Tail

So, today was haircut #2. This one was way more emotional for Keith and I. The time had come to cut off Logan's tail he was born with. It was starting to get pulled when we dressed him, got caught in his bibs and some times got pulled when I put him down on his crib.

Here is a picture around 2 1/2 months...

Here are a few pictures from this morning he is 10 1/2 months...

So, we finally agreed it was time. Logan was a good boy and sat in his highchair while I worked up the nerve to cut my baby's cute little tail off.

It took me a few tries to actually cut it. Not because I was scared but I all the sudden felt emotional. It felt like a big step!

All done! I know his hair is still long and he will need a real haircut soon but I think I'll wait for another day.

My cutie pie!

"Peanut"

On Wednesday this week we had an ultrasound! The anticipation leading up to it was killing me! I was convinced it would be a girl because I haven't felt as sick as I did with Logan. But my guess was wrong! We are having a boy! Keith and I are both excited; neither of us had a gender preference we just want a healthy baby.
So, we will have 2 boys under 2! I daydream about them running around together laughing and playing. I daydream about all the fun we will have playing outside in the dirt and rolling around the living room. Welcome to our family baby boy, we can't wait to meet you!

WALKING!!!

On Monday, March 21st Logan James decided he was ready to walk! That afternoon we were playing after lunch and Logan was standing at the couch with his toys and I was sitting across the room talking to him. All the sudden he turned, looked at me with a BIG smile and took off and walked into my arms! We both were giggling and smiling. Since that day he has just been getting better and better! He now walks all over, he stops turns around figures out where he wants to go and does it. It is so amazing to watch his progress, I'm lucky to be home with him and not miss a minute. :)
