Day 30 of 30

The day started out as a hot one! Logan and I went on a walk a little later than our usual time and we were both hot when we got home.
Here's Logan cooling off inside. ;)
This evening right when we were about to go upstairs for bath time, Keith and I noticed a very defined line in the sky between the storm clouds and the days sky. Then all the sudden the dark clouds started to swirl in an up and down motion and Keith went over to the closet and began clearing it out. Just as he did that the housing sirens went off that there was a tornado warning. So, back to the closet for us. We sat in there for almost an hour. The weather was nothing like last week but we still stayed put just in case. Logan was such a good boy, he never got upset. We sang, talked, drank some milk and he was fine. Finally, the "all clear" siren went off and we were able to give Logan a quick bath and Keith put him down. Poor guy was tired, he was up an hour and a half past his bed time.

Also, today is day 30 of 30. The blog challenge is over. I have to say even though there were a few days where I wasn't sure what to write about, overall I enjoyed checking in every night. Thinking about writing a blog everyday made me take more pictures which I love and also made me stop and reflect on the day which is a nice reminder of how lucky I feel.
I don't know that I will write everyday going forward but I will give it my best shot. It has kinda become my nightly routine! For those who wrote along with me, I really enjoyed reading your blogs, you're more interesting then you know and I hope that you too will consider writing more often. ;)
If you have been following, I hope you enjoyed the month of June. Here's to more summer fun and more summer blogging!

Day 29 of 30

Forest City, the military community we live in, had a community day today. They lucked out because it was another beautiful day outside. It was all for kids so we thought we would take Logan so he could watch all the kids run around. Little did I know he was going to join in on some of the fun too!

They had this crazy 36 foot water slide that kids were lined up to go down! I even kinda wanted to give it a try!

We walked around and watched the kids, they had bouncy toys for all ages.

They even had a little maze for toddlers. Keith took Logan over to check it out. Before I knew it Logan's shoes were off and Keith was putting him in to give it a try!

I won't lie, after he put him in I started to have some Mommy anxiety. I started thinking, how am I going to reach him if he takes off, what if he falls, what if a kid bumps into him, what if... what if.. what if...
Luckily Keith is much more laid back and told me Logan would be fine. Which he was, he could balance while the other kids ran by and he really like the balls. He was throwing them and holding them. Here I was worried for the worst and he was having a good time! Jeez Mom, lighten up.
It was a fun afternoon for all of us. A new experience too, as parents giving Logan a little freedom in a new environment with strangers around and for Logan being able to enjoy that freedom.

I know I will have more Mommy anxiety as Logan and Peanut grow up but I will always remember to try and give them space to have new experiences. Plus Keith will be there to remind me to relax, I'm sure of that. ;)

Day 28 of 30

Another day outside for us. Hey, you have to take advantage of this weather while it's here because very quickly it can disappear!
We usually go out before breakfast and play in the backyard. Here's Logan playing in his PJs. He makes this face all the time, so stinkn' cute!

 Telling us a story.
 Water break.
My Mom stayed one more day with us. She helps us so much. Plus Logan loves spending time with his grandparents, he gets their undivided attention. I feel very lucky to have such helpful, kind, loving parents. My goal is to pay it forward.

Day 27 of 30

Logan has already grown out of his first pair of tennis shoes! So, today my Mom and I took him to be measured and get a new pair. After only 2 months he went from a size 5 1/2 to a size 6 1/2! This evening when we were playing outside he looked much more comfortable running around. His toes need some room!

Day 26 of 30

Today, I think I'll just share pictures. It was another fun family day and I'm tired! Thank you to my grandparents for making the trip to meet their great-grandson. It was a wonderful weekend, with wonderful memories.

Day 25 of 30

We were outside ALL day today. The sun was shining first thing this morning and Logan knew he wanted to go out and play ASAP. We took a few walks, played in the backyard, played in the water table, bounced balls in the driveway and just enjoyed time together.
Keith made his specialty, fajitas with all the sides and even homemade tortillas for dinner. SO GOOD! My grandparents really enjoyed it, as did we all.
I didn't take too many pictures today but here are a few shots of us outside.

My grandparents, Logan's great-grandparents, sitting with us outside.

 Busy Boy.
 Still loving the lawnmower. ;)

Day 24 of 30

I'm up past my bedtime so tonight is a quick post. My grandparents, Logans great-grandparents, came to visit from Cleveland for the weekend. This is the first time they are meeting Logan! They got in this evening & I have stayed up too late. ;)
This morning we went with my Mom to the Farmers Market and had breakfast. After, we took a walk in the neighborhood and I spotted a garage sale. I found a toy lawn mower for Logan. He loved it at first sight! I let him out of the stroller and he pushed until he was too tired to keep going. We put him back in the stroller but he wouldn't let it go! He played with it all day! How come garage sale toys end up being the favorites?
Here are a few shots of Logan with his new toy. TGIF!

Day 23 of 30

We have had some gray days the last 3 days. Don't get me wrong, Logan and I still find a way to go outside for a walk or play in the driveway but I miss the sunshine!
This evening Keith bought an electric lawnmower from craigslist to handle our little backyard. He decided to give it try to see how the lawn would look, it was in need of a cut!
Logan watched him the whole time! He was talking to him saying " DADA, dada, dada..." and waving his arms around, then when he was done he tilted his head back and laughed. SO CUTE! You can tell he is really trying to get something out, words are just around the corner for this little boy!
Here are some pictures of the evening.

Here's Logan giving Keith some direction.

He is our sunshine!

Day 22 of 30

After playing outside all day with Logan these days, I am exhausted! Maybe it's because I'm 29 weeks pregnant with Peanut!

When we were at the Nex this afternoon I picked up Aromatherapy Body Wash in Eucalyptus Spearmint. It is amazing. I took a bath tonight and I feel so relaxed. Probably the best $10 I have spent on myself in awhile.
So... sweet dreams I am crashing early!
Oh, and here's my cutie. He's such a good shopping buddy. ;)

Day 21 of 30 (recap)

So, last night when Keith was putting Logan down the sirens around housing started to go off. Keith checked his phone for weather alerts and there was a tornado warning for our area. We all went downstairs and cleared a closet just in case. The wind did pick up and the rain came down hard, we sat in the closet for about 25 minutes. At it's worst the tree behind our house looked like it was going to break in half and all you could see was rain. The power went out and we sat in dark, together in the closet. I was singing to Logan and he passed out in my arms. After the all clear announcement Keith took Logan and put him down. The power came back on a few hours later. We were fine, safe and together. Weather is such an unpredictable thing, you never know when something like that will happen.
On our walk this morning we saw a lot of tree branches down and a few trees. Overall, everything seems to be ok.

Day 21 of 30

No power, tornado warning. It has passed, we are ok. Guess I'll write tomorrow, when the power us back in, I hope.

Day 20 of 30

Logan has been crawling up the stairs for probably about a month now. Which has become helpful since my belly is getting big and he's not getting any smaller. ;) When we say "Lets go upstairs" or "Bath time" Logan goes to the stairs and knows it's time to crawl up. We of course stand behind to make sure he doesn't fall but he's pretty speedy. We haven't tried going down yet but that could be soon.

Here are the Lilies from the Farmers Market. They all opened over the weekend and smell wonderful. I might have to get more this Friday.

Day 18 & 19 Recap

We FINALLY have our internet connection back.. YEAHY! We may not watch TV but Keith and I were feeling tortured without the internet.
So, I thought I would recap the two days that I wasn't able to post anything. My parents came for a weekend visit. We had nice weather and spent most of the time outside playing with Logan. He loves to see my parents, when they first got here he had the giggles for at least 30 minutes. He was showing them toys and laughing laughing laughing. I think it was an excited giggle.
Here's Logan & Grandma outside.
Daddy & Logan on Father's Day.
 Silly.
Hanging Out.
 Mommy & Logan.
Aww... Grandma & Grandpa with Logan.
We roasted marshmallows and made s'mores to end a great family weekend.
