Nostalgic

As Logan's first birthday approaches I am feeling nostalgic. I waited for Logan for many years, wondering lots of times if we would ever have children. Now we have a beautiful baby boy who is going to be one in a few weeks and another boy on the way.
It's astonishing how life changes. Logan is amazing; he makes me feel complete.

Goodbye Tail

So, today was haircut #2. This one was way more emotional for Keith and I. The time had come to cut off Logan's tail he was born with. It was starting to get pulled when we dressed him, got caught in his bibs and some times got pulled when I put him down on his crib.

Here is a picture around 2 1/2 months...

Here are a few pictures from this morning he is 10 1/2 months...

So, we finally agreed it was time. Logan was a good boy and sat in his highchair while I worked up the nerve to cut my baby's cute little tail off.

It took me a few tries to actually cut it. Not because I was scared but I all the sudden felt emotional. It felt like a big step!

All done! I know his hair is still long and he will need a real haircut soon but I think I'll wait for another day.

My cutie pie!

"Peanut"

On Wednesday this week we had an ultrasound! The anticipation leading up to it was killing me! I was convinced it would be a girl because I haven't felt as sick as I did with Logan. But my guess was wrong! We are having a boy! Keith and I are both excited; neither of us had a gender preference we just want a healthy baby.
So, we will have 2 boys under 2! I daydream about them running around together laughing and playing. I daydream about all the fun we will have playing outside in the dirt and rolling around the living room. Welcome to our family baby boy, we can't wait to meet you!

WALKING!!!

On Monday, March 21st Logan James decided he was ready to walk! That afternoon we were playing after lunch and Logan was standing at the couch with his toys and I was sitting across the room talking to him. All the sudden he turned, looked at me with a BIG smile and took off and walked into my arms! We both were giggling and smiling. Since that day he has just been getting better and better! He now walks all over, he stops turns around figures out where he wants to go and does it. It is so amazing to watch his progress, I'm lucky to be home with him and not miss a minute. :)

30 and a trim

Keith turned 30 on February 23. We had a low key celebration, which was what he preferred. My Mom was visiting so we made Keith "Birthday tacos" with all the proper sides. :) Cheesecake is his favorite dessert so cheesecake it was for his 30th birthday!

Logan is interested in everything! He loves to use his pointer finger to touch things.

Aww... family.

Ok... ignore my cheesy smile and focus on Logan! He is always pointing and putting his hand out to show us something. He talks and talks, he is really trying to communicate with us. So cute.

A few days later....
We all know Logan was born with lots of beautiful hair and it has been growing and growing. It finally got to the point where it was always in his eyes. So instead of putting a clip in his hair to pull it back we decided to give his bangs a little trim. ( The rest of his hair will get a trim very soon)

Before trim.

Action shot.

 Awww... Handsome boy!

Recently

It has been quite awhile since I have written a blog, I guess the holidays came and time just took off. We have been spending most of our time inside the last few months. This winter has been longer, colder and with more snow than last year. But while stuck inside Logan has been learning lots of new things. He is feeding himself Gerber baby snacks, drinking from a straw, crawling, walking all over the house in his walker, has 2 bottom teeth, and chasing Selby! I'm sure there are things I have left off but you get the drift, he is growing so fast!
Here are some recent pictures...
After the Blizzard, we went outside to look at all the snow!

Ready to cheer with Daddy and watch his 1st Superbowl!

About to go outside for a very short walk.

Eating his new favorite, lil' crunchies, Gerber snacks.

Being silly! You can kinda see his 2 teeth!

Happy Valentines Day!

Dada

Logan has been looking at Keith and saying Dada!

This was right after Keith left to go back to go back to work. Logan was looking for him.
